BRISTOL CREATIVES
Bristol Creatives is a rapidly growing network of artists and designer-makers that supports individuals and groups of creative practitioners in their businesses across Bristol and the wider region. It was set up as a project by BEST in 2004/5 and funded for two years by the Arts Council England with some support from Bristol City Council. In 2007 the funding ceased and BEST has continued to support and invest it's own resources into maintaining this valuable resource.
Currently the website receives over 7,000 visits per month and has 1500 registered users ranging from individual artists, studios, artist's groups, art galleries, colleges and larger institutions. It is the website of choice for those wanting to find out what's going on in the artist community within Bristol and is giving members access to new markets and opportunities.
In 2010 we will be giving the website a make over with a new design, more features and ease of access to the creative directory and other listings. We will also be re-launching our Gold Membership package with an increased range of benefits for members - students, individuals, groups and business sponsors. The website is managed by Sally Reay, a self employed jeweller and freelance project manager. Sally also hosts monthly network meetings and runs a training programme in the use of creative software for iMacs.
